Word Filled Wednesday

this is our lake, notice anything missing?

this is God’s Word, nothing is missing

Isaiah 41:18
I will make rivers flow on barren heights, and springs within the valleys. I will turn the desert into pools of water, and the parched ground into springs.

bookstore opening Friday – let’s party!

Well, I have decided to Grandly open my bookstore Friday, I have had a headache trying to get me down the last couple days. I rarely get those, and I am not giving in to this one, but it is slowing me down a bit so I am still working on things. I decided to coincide the opening with the release of my ebooklet on family devotions. It will be featured as the Homeschool Freebie Of The Day on Friday. And as long as I am throwing a party here anyway, door prizes are in order! Hmm,  I think I will surprise y’all.

So, Friday it is. Be here or be square! Wear you best party attire, bring a cup of tea or better yet cappucino, and lots of friends! I will have a button ready tomorrow, and if you put one on your blog, I will give you a special mention as a guest of honor and put your name in a special drawing for a copy of “More Than A Hobby” hardcover book by Micheal Green, the founder of Hobby Lobby. And if you win I will even ship it free anywhere!

Even though my store isn’t publically open yet, I will let you peek around if you like and get yourself in early on the mailing list (lots of free gifts there) so here is your sneak preview link, shhh, don’t tell anyone else yet.

early voting encouraged!

tweet my blog – put your blog on twitter!

How would you like to share an announcement on twitter everytime you post on your blog? Do you blog because you have something to say that folks should hear? My purpose in blogging is to get folks to realize what is going on around them and who cares about it. Somebody tell me, have you learned anything, who cares?

So what better way to get your words out than to tell about it on twitter? So here ya go, try it free!

lots of fun!

ps, you will get lots of extra blogging resources too

kitchen organization – cookbook!

Well, for this weeks Works For Me Wednesday It is a kitchen organizing theme. I really pondered what I wanted to share about. Should it be my kitchen planner we have been working on? Or should I share about all of my “centers” where I keep the needed items all within reach, such as my baking center. Or should I share about how I buy spices in bulk and then put them in cute little jelly canning jars with calico fabric lids. Or maybe my ceramic cow holding a chalk board that we write the supper menu on. But no, when it all boiled down to it, I settled with my favorite home made cookbook. Need I remind everyone I have 5 daughters. So we needed a way for everyone to have their own cookbook as they started cooking. So… we get a 4×6 photo album, less than $5 at walmart. And 100 4×6 index cards and they copy every favorite recipe they can find and slip them into the photo slots. The recipes you get from magazines will also fit in those slots. And 4×6 cards are the perfect size to exchange with friends for recipe swaps. And you can set your printer to print all of your recipes you have on your computer to print on 4×6 cards . The recipe cards are in the plastic slots so they are protected from splashes and spills. These books are great gifts too!

since we are talking kitchens don’t forget about my apron giveaway contest!
