You know I see so much going on in God’s Kingdom that have nothing to do with him. I see Godly “looking” families in such a state of distraction. So I ask, “what do you worship?” This is a test. These are some of the good things I see folks involved in. Which ones fit in your lifestyle?
- your family
- your job
- homeschooling
- finding a bargain
- online reading
- online shopping
- blogging
- organizing
- decorating your home
- children’s activities
- sports
- talking on the phone
- church activities
- fellowship
- fill in the blank ______________
Now with all of the ones that apply, write next to them the amount of time spent each day.
Now I ask, how much time each day do you give to Jesus. Not church, not others in His Name, but actually givng to HIM. How much time do you spend worshipping HIM?
I challenge you to put Him first. Today and everyday.

Penny:
Perhaps I’m not getting your meaning, but I think this is a trick question, because one may worship and serve the Creator in nearly every one of these situations. I suppose it has more to do with one’s attitude of heart and mind while caring for our responsibilities and while enjoying our recreations than how much time is spent just meditating exclusively on Christ and worshiping Him. Though there should be some time each day carved out for this activity, it will be very small compared with everything else He has called us to do. Even Christ spent only a small amount of time in pure, unchallenged communion alone with the Father. What do you think about this?
