Topic: Spiritual Dryness

Discussion questions-

Have you noticed a pattern of when you find yourself spiritually dry?

What do you do to move quickly through that season of dryness?

Well, here is my as usual, unusual answer. When you realize you are in a desert, THANK HIM! Weird huh? Well for one we should thank Him in all things. But also, do you realize that if you are in a dry desert you are in good company.

Moses spent time in the desert.

 John the Baptist spent time in the desert.

 Jesus spent time in the desert.

And not only did they spend time, they learned and they came back different. Now I realize that we are often dry because of our own behaviour, usually being too busy . But if we belong to Him, He will only let us go so far. He will call us back. Sometimes gently, sometimes desperately, but His love for you will not let you go. And often He will allow us to be in a place or circumstance that shows us exactly how much we need Him, and allows Hm to do a work in our hearts.
