Making My Home A Haven – prayer

Sunday night I started feeling really uneasy. Could be a number of things, we are constantly surrounded by troublemakers. I can’t really put my finger on the exact thing. But I know the answer. Prayer. Actually I think I will spend some extra time walking and praying. I tend to like to not have a lot of background sound around here, but I want to try to get back in the habit of playing our bible on cd series. Maybe making that part of school. I think I will. See if that doesn’t add to making my home a haven. I usually run errands on Monday but everywhere is closed and we did social stuff over the weekend, so unless we do something with our dear daughter and her wonderful husband, I want to just stay home and really pray.

Then I will take Bev’s suggestion and make chili rellenos

Menu Plan Monday

Well, here it is not only another week but another month. Time for Menu Plan Monday!  Wow September already, I am so ready to get into some soups and stews and chili!. But for now back to what is in season. Cheese was on sale again last week, I get the 8 oz bags of shredded  and freeze them. I get either the Italian blend or the Fiesta blend. The Italian blend is great for pizza or as a topping on spaghetti, our Italian veggie pasta dish. The Fiesta blend is good on all things Mexican, which is a lot around here.

Monday- Italian veggies and pasta with bread

Tuesday- Eggplant Parmesan

Wednesday- Mexican meat and rice casserole

Thursday- Chicken pasta salad

Friday – Jalepeno Chicken and rice

This past week my daughters have made apple pies, chocolate pies, peanut butter cookies, no-bake cookies, lemon cake, and homemade applesauce,  it is dangerous to live here, anybody got an extra treadmill?

Be sure to check my front page, I have some great things going on this week.
