answers about PayPerPost

Georgene asked me to explain more about Pay Per Post, so here goes. Since the end of January I have earned $691 + change. I have written about things like traveling, rental cars, web site hosting, work clothing, and credit. I only write posts that I want to write and I get to tell the truth. I could write about things like legalized marijuana but I choose not to. I bet I could make it interesting and still get the Gospel in there if I choose to take that though. I blatently put Jesus in things and have never had a post turned down.

Here is how it works, although things change from time to time so it is best to get it from the site as far as new sign ups. You give them your info,  name, website, and the same info you would give anyone you expected to get a paycheck from. They pay through paypal so you need a paypal account. They verify your website to see if it meets their specs, must be 30 days old, must have an easily findable archives page, etc. You write your first post, about PayPerPost and include the link they give you, you post it on your blog, with a disclosure saying that it is a sponsored post. Easy enough. You tell them you posted it. They either approve it or tell you what is needed. Then 30 days later they deposit money in your account. Easy as pie! While you are waiting on that 30 days you find other “opportunities” and write about them. You can write up to 3 a day, with regular posts in between. If you have sparse traffic you won’t get as many opportunities to write about at first but it will work into more. If you choose to use videos it pays really good. There is one available right now that pays $30, all you do is make a video of you describing your dream job. Lots of contests start out this way.

Once you have money in your paypal account you can get a debit card to spend it from there or have them send you a check or put it in your bank account.

I could be making a lot more but get busy and forget to check the site. There are only so many “opportunities” and the good ones get snatched up relatively quick, so you have to watch it if you want to make a lot. But there are plently if you watch it.

A Simple Woman’s Daybook

For Today… August 18, 2008

Outside my Window… fall is beginning, it is beautiful, sunny but with a slight breeze, and there is a brand new filly born just this morning, it is quiet and peaceful
I am thinking… I like this meme
I am thankful for… my family, and my Mercy who interrupts my every sentence I write
From the kitchen… there are lots of tomatoes, okra, peppers on top of peppers and eggplant
I am wearing… navy blue and olive t-shirt and comfy navy loose capris, bare feet
I am reading… the Simple Woman’s blog, and liking it :)
I am hoping… that it rains soon, very soon
I am hearing… cicadas outside and Mercy’s never ending questions inside
I am creating… a tea party with Mercy
Around the house… some are in the garden, some are doing school, Moriah is cleaning the kitchen after lunch
One of my favorite things… my family, my life, my Savior
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week… more of the same, writing, blogging, school, loving on my children
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you… new life! This Firecracker, born to Ladybug just this morning

At The Well- Blessing Our Husbands

This weeks “at The Well” is hosted by Cindy Beall, but the links are at Chelsey’s site. The topic isBlessing Our Husbands and Cindy’s questions are:

If you are married, how well do you sweet-talk your spouse? If you are not married, do you sweet-talk other important folks in your life?

What are some things you can say TODAY to let your spouse and others close to you know that you think the world of them?

The scripture reference is one of my favorites.

Ephesians 4:29 tells us,

“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.”

Well, I will tell you right off I am not an artificially sweet person. In fact in my opinion, artificial sweetners kill. I am a truth person. Just the way God made me. Now I believe in speaking the truth in LOVE, always in LOVE. But if I can’t say something nice that is true I won’t say anything at all.  So, I take speaking blessings very seriously. I want the words that come out of my mouth to lead a person into a deeper relationship with Christ, not pet on their flesh. So after 22 years of marriage, when I tell my hubby he just preached a great message, he knows I really mean it.

~~~~Take a look at Cindy’s site, she tells an incredible story of redemption. I often counsel women on marriage problems, and always tell them even if they have suffered abuse or unfaithfulness, that God is still in the healing business, He can and DOES transform lives. It may be just their prayers that will save their hubby’s lives, both physically and spiritually. I encourage you to read Cindy’s story. It is an exmple of how we as believers are to be like JESUS in our relationships. I promised the Lord very early on in my own marriage that no matter what I would always forgive (at the time Jim was unsaved) because I had been forgiven. God put me to that test.  Our marriage is the only one in generations of his family line that has no divorces in it.
