fighting summer boredom

Well, Shannon over at Rocks in My Dryer wants to know how to keep your kid from being bored during summer break. Oh my. I don’t have to deal with that one! Let me see, well first thing you do is homeschool. Year round. Then you move to the country. In TN. Then you buy a cute little pony. That has a baby EVERY year. Then you go completely overboard with horses. You know how folks will give all their hand me downs to a big family? Well they give us horses that a way. Not always, not all are free. Some of the registered ones my youngins have purchased or traded for. Which brings me to another fun summer activity. If you really want to fight boredom, build the fences not quite as good as they need to be, so your son’s registered Tennessee Walker stallion can get out and “accidently” visit the mares. and your son can say, ” oh Mom, he is too young to know what is going on, don’t worry about it, I am sure he didn’t cause any problems”. Then wait approximately 330 days….. to find out…….he wasn’t too young. Boy does he produce pretty colts!  And everytime someone says, “I know something you don’t know”, Momma gets to hike a country mile to go see the new little critter that was just born (they are never close) so that she can take pictures and blog about it! No boringness here. Now that works for me this wednesday! And just in case you want to start on your own non-boring adventure I have plenty of ponies for sale.
