101 ways to decrease your outgo

In response to my own post of June 3rd “the dime is squeezing me” I am hosting a carnival of sorts this week. Or maybe it will become a meme. I don’t know where it will go, but for this week, let’s encourage each other. We will start today with 101 ways to decrease your outgo. You may add a link to your own post, or add by comment. If you add a link to your own post, please make it specific to that post.

On Wednesday I have a really great opportunity for y’all and we will start with 101 ways to increase your income! I have a feeling we will exceed the 101 number on both.

Please spread the word and tell your friends!

Ok, ready, set, go……

Ok, y’all are moving too slow…here are my tips…and I will keep adding to them

family devotions

Every day for as long as I can remember, we have gathered as a family in the morning. We have had different seasons of whay we do, but we gather every morning. Some seasons we have had the children bring a song to the Lord, some seasons it has been a scripture. Some seasons we have gone through a particular book in the bible. Every season though does have some static things. We discuss whatever may be going on, prayer requests, and who had dreams and what they might mean and what God is telling us as a family. recently we have had the children each bring a scripture to the gathering. It is a scripture of their choice. Someone usually helps Mercy who is the youngest. It really helps with their reading skills and it often gives us a  scripture we hadn’t found before or maybe forgotten. I thought I would share a couple with you today.

Proverbs 22:11

He who loves a pure heart and whose speech is gracious
will have the king for his friend.

Proverbs 13:22

A good man leaves an inheritance for his children’s children,
but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for the righteous.

These morning meetings are part of the inheritance we leave for our children and what Makes our Home a Haven

current Raine events

just in case anybody is keeping up with such things….. it is 10:13 Monday morning, 85 degrees and 65% humidity… the high today is supposed to be in the mid ’90′s  …we have 1100 square bales cut, baled and picked up, about another 150 to pick up…… then we pray for rain  :)

God is already in agreement …. the forcast tomorrow is a high of 83 and scattered thunderstorms …. oh that will feel good

oh, and Angela, before you cook a chicken in the car you have to gut it and either de-skin or de-feather it, then stick in a pan with seasonings and …. uh ….. cook away,  love you girl! and I would have paid YOU to take those orphan socks!

and somebody tell me …. what is the point of Twitter?
