Momma, Mom, Mommy blogging through seasons of motherhood
Speaking of blogging controversy, if you want to stir things up talk about people’s gods. Yes everybody has a god they serve. Some serve the real true Creator of the Universe God. Some serve themselves making themselves their own god. some serve other gods without even realizing they do it. My dear friend Robin Sampson exposed the false gods of video today on her blog post about World of Warcraft and boy is it stirring up some controversy. Go Robin! I love to hear truth and admire those who will speak it. You are my hero today Robin. You can read all about it at her Heart of Wisdom blog . some of my favorite books are authored by her, she knows her Word, knows her God, and knows His Spirit.
Even though God miraculously provides for us, and I am in awe at how He does that, there are times when we need something and there is no money. So how do you function when your paycheck runs out long before the end of the month? with decreasing pay and increasing bills, it is getting harder to make ends meet. Well, we need to remeber some of the good ole methods of trade. We live in a farm community where neighbors still act like neighbors, it is the most amazing place. and we have neighbors that sometimes could use our services and we could use what they have. so we barter. In our case it is often just neighborly trading, we cut our neighbors hay field for a percentage of the hay. But there are all kinds of ways you can barter, maybe you bake bread and your friend cuts hair, so trade loaves of bread for haircuts. Or like my daughter was thinking the other day, maybe get fruit from your neighbors tree, pick enough to bake yourself a pie and them too. The possibilities are endless. Maybe you sew and your friend takes pictures, or maybe your cousin does auto repair and your hubby does plumbing. think of what your talents are and consider bartering. I can design and host websites, especially blogs like this one. Anybody want to trade something? Do you have more ideas on bartering? How did this Frugal Friday post help you?
Is there any greater joy for a little girl than finding kittens in the hay loft? We also find eggs in the hay, when a hen escapes the henhouse she heads straight for hay. I also find children in the hay, you got it, playing with the new kittens!
