Well, things have been a little stressful here lately. Ok, I repent, that was a lie, things have been extremely stressful here lately. For one anytime we are planning something where we just know that we know God is going to move in peoples lives, nearly all of our income shuts off. We are missionaries in our hometown brought 2000 miles by God to the bible belt specifically by the prayers of people who care about the folks here. But when you tell folks that you are missionaries in TN few actually catch that vision, so support can really be up and down. If you would like to know more about our ministry you can look here, Glorybound Ministries, I will be doing some updating there soon. If you would like to support our ministry you can do so here at the give a gift page. We minister mostly to the broken hearted, jail inmates, drug addicts, and others that don’t need to be convinced that they have sinned and fallen short to the Glory of God. They already know that. They need love and instruction in God’s Word and that is what we give them. We work long hard hours and take calls in the middle of the night and spend hours and hours in prayer, but often don’t get the paycheck God has ordained. I can tell you 20 tasty ways to cook rice and beans, honestly. But anyway, back to the stress level around here. Also as usual, things in the atmosphere seem to get heated up. We have had horse accidents, a tornado to the south and gang shootings to the north, and of all things an earthquake you could feel in TN! And then there is the price of gas, I honestly want to cry everytime I put money in the gas tank, figuring to the dime how many miles it will get us.
So, what does that have to do with making my home a haven? Everything. Because it is my calling, my responsibility by God, to keep all the stress from all that junk OUTSIDE MY HOME. Not to let it inside. My home should be a safe haven. A comfortable cozy place. And the most effective way to do that is by watching MY WORDS. It is up to me to use words that build up and not tear down. Lord, Help me please. Help me to be wise.
The wise woman builds her house,
but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down. Proverbs 14:1

Hope things get better. I once was told that if you are doing something right others will pruscuite you. Sounds like that is whats happening to you right now. I’ll say a prayer for you b/c I think something good is coming your way. Just hang in there.

It sounds like you and your husband are doing a wonderful work.
I know that sometimes we don’t see the fruit of our labor as soon as we would like.
Continue on, knowing that God sees and knows your efforts and He is faithful.
