Last night R.A. Coon was observed in the act of chicken stealing. The poor little hen was accosted in her sleep while roosting in a tree. The courageous Rev J. W. who was on duty as usual just happen to witness the whole event and reacted quickly. He was on hot pursuit immediately and chased the suspect into a drainage pipe that had a vertical bend at the other end, thus trapping the suspect. While keeping a light on the pipe opening Rev J. called for his assistant to retrieve the “coon cuffs”, a special apparatus used to confine such dangerous suspected killers. He set the apparatus and went onto his next assignment. This morning the thief was safely confined as you can see in the above picture.

Mr. Coon has such a sweet look of innocence that he might fool some but gave away his secret once again when he lunged at the Raine household’s chief security officer Ruby D.O.G.

While there really is no question of guilt there does seem to be a hung jury over the sentencing. Some say “death sentence” while others say “exile”. We are awaiting an opinion from the Rev J. who will probably be receiving the highest honor awarded for such a capture, a coon tail cap. The Rev J. W. is expected to excel in his calling of maintaining law and order while at the same time being peacemaker. It is a tough job but somebody has got to do it.
